Danvers Developers Revising Apartment Proposal

Neighbors voiced concerns at a zoning board of appeals hearing on the proposed, 29-unit apartment building on Pine Street in Danvers.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers developers John and Gordon Thomson will revise a plan to build a 29-unit apartment building on Pine Street in Danvers after neighbors voiced concerns at a zoning board of appeals hearing.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, all seven members of the board said they could not support a plan for such a large complex. An attorney for the couple asked that the hearing be continued to Feb. 24. The Thomsons have an agreement to purchase the property from the Prentiss Family Trust and say their proposal would address Danvers's housing shortage.
