Welcome to Danvers Dish: a new Thursday afternoon column, each week highlighting one of the many unique food options in town.

This week's dish was selected from Supino's Restaurant, on Route 1 (250 Newbury St.) in Danvers.

Dish: Clara Ravioli

What Is It: Round cheese ravioli, topped with sauteed baby spinach, carmelized onions, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and button mushrooms.

What's In A Name: Clara Ravioli, is named after restaurant owner Ron Supino's maternal grandmother, who he said was a great cook.

Supino's, longstanding in Danvers since 1972, will be celebrating its 40-year anniversary this upcoming May. The restaurant was originally owned by Ron's parents, Rose and Al Supino.

Clara Ravioli, however, is a new dish, launched on the menu last year. Supino said once folks try it they love it, but it's sometimes overlooked.
