Danvers Ends Seasonal Outdoor Water Restrictions For 2024
The restrictions, which reached Level 5 status this summer, are lifted as of Oct. 1.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents are free to water their lawns and wash their cars on whatever day they choose for the rest of the outdoor season with the expiration of the town's seasonal water restrictions as of Tuesday.
The restrictions, which are put in place each spring and summer to help protect the Ipswich River watershed, reached Level 5 at one point this summer and stayed at Level 4 through a historically dry September.
The Level 1 water policy will be in place through April 30 unless extraordinary circumstances develop that necessitate a change.
