Danvers To Host Town's First Post-Halloween Pumpkin Composting Event
Residents are asked to drop off pumpkins for composting - rather than throwing them in the trash - on Nov. 7.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents are asked to compost their Halloween pumpkins — instead of tossing them in the trash — at the town's first-ever Pumpkin Collection in collaboration with the Black Earth Compost following this week's Halloween festivities.
Residents are invited to bring their pumpkins and gourds — carved or whole — to town hall on Nov. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Black Earth Compost will make sure they are turned into nutrient-rich compost.
