Danvers Police to Participate in Townwide Open House
But don't go to the Danvers Police Station – officers will be at Town Hall.

DANVERS, MA – As part of the Danvers Open House, Danvers Police will have cruisers and hot dogs at Town Hall on Oct. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Danvers Police Department is under construction and will not host any open house events, but people can still check out police vehicles and talk to officers at Town Hall.
As part of the event, the Danvers Fire Department will recognize National Fire Prevention Week with fire safety as the theme. The headquarters at 64 High St. will have a Jaws of Life demonstration, a "smoke house," and pizza.

The open also falls near Public Power Week, so the Electric Division will have an Electric Village and a utility test truck. Take a ride in a bucket truck or decorate a cookie.
Endicott Park is also having an open house – anyone can go see the barn animals, grab an apple, or decorate a pumpkin. The Friends of Endicott Park will also be raising money for the new Nature Center.

The library will facilitate spin art and Halloween crafts for the kids.
Parking will be limited at all sites, so the Salem Trolley will provide transportation to the fire station, library, Electric Division, and Endicott Park.
“Open House is an opportunity for residents to get a behind the scenes look at what goes on in their municipal offices,” said Town Manager Steve Bartha in a statement. “Please join us for what is sure to be an educational and fun-filled evening. Best of all, it’s free!”
