Danvers Resident Named New Massachusetts Water Works Association President

DANVERS, MA — A Danvers resident has been named as the new president of the Massachusetts Water Works Association.
Steve Horn, a member of the Smart Utility Group at Everett J. Prescott, Inc. became the new MWWA president during the 75th anniversary celebration.
"This year marks our 75th anniversary — our Diamond Jubilee — and what a celebration it's been," Horn said. "It shows the strength of our organization and the impact we make together: sharing best practices, educating our communities, and protecting our most important resource — clean water."

Horn accepted the position from outgoing President Jaimye Bartak of the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission.
Founded on Jan.4, 1950, MWWA was established to foster the exchange of information and knowledge to ensure clean, reliable water for Bay State residents.

With 1,500 individual members — primarily water utility professionals — and 82 utility members, MWWA remains steadfast in its mission to protect public health through education and advocacy.
