The Danvers RMV Is Now Closed For Good
Wilmington, Revere RMVs add extended hours.
Danvers, MA - As of Monday, the Danvers Registry of Motor Vehicles is officially, permanently closed, due to concerns over the building's infrastructure.
The RMV, located at Liberty Tree Mall, 100 Independence Way, was found to have insufficient HVAC systems, but upgrades were too costly, according to the Mass. Department of Transportation.
As of today, the RMV is expanding hours at nearby Revere and Wilmington branches. The branches, located at 9c Everett Street in Revere and 355 Middlesex Avenue in Wilmington, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Saugus AAA offices can assist AAA customers with renewals and duplicates, MassDOT said.

According to the MassDOT Twitter account, "an area replacement location is being pursued."
