Danvers Route 128 Emergency Bridge Work To Shut Down Lanes For Tuesday Afternoon Commute

The state Department of Transportation said delays can be expected through the Tuesday afternoon commute on Route 128 south at Route 114.

DANVERS, MA — Emergency bridge netting removal at Route 114 in Danvers was set to result in multiple lane closures and delays on Route 128 southbound through the Tuesday afternoon commute.

The state Department of Transportation said multiple lanes would be closed for approximately five hours starting at about 3 p.m.

Signs, traffic control devices, temporary detour signs and message boards were installed on an emergency basis.

Drivers were encouraged to reduce speeds approaching the area and allow for extra time if they cannot travel alternate routes.
