Danvers Star Athletes Commit To Boston University, UMass-Lowell
Georgia Prouty signed an NLI to play soccer at BU, while Will Conklin and JJ Rooney will run cross country and track at UMass-Lowell.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers High soccer star Georgia Prouty is taking her talents to Boston University, while cross country standouts Will Conklin and JJ Rooney will run at UMass-Lowell, with all three signing their respective National Letters of Intent on Monday.
Prouty is a 2-time Northeastern Conference MVP. She was also named All-New England and All-American.
Prouty is the all-time leading scorer at DHS with 146 points, a record she broke in her final game.

Conklin, a three-season track captain, helped Danvers win its first-ever cross country state championship last fall. As a senior, he was NEC Runner of the Year, finished second in the sectional meet and fourth in the state meet.
Rooney, also a three-sport captain, was the No. 3 runner on the 2023 state championship team. He finished in the top 5 at the NEC Meet and eighth in the state meet.

All three are receiving partial scholarships.
"We are thrilled to see these outstanding student-athletes have the opportunity to continue their academic and athletic careers at the Division 1 level," said DHS Athletic Director Drew Betts. "To have three students receive scholarships the same year is a testament to their hard work and achievements, as well as their coaches and teammates."
