Danvers Winter Parking Details

DANVERS, MA – The Board of Selectmen voted in 2014 to implement a winter parking ban, prohibiting overnight street parking when a winter storm is coming.

The bylaw states that no vehicle, other than those acting in an emergency, can park on the street between 1 and 6 a.m. from Dec. 1 to April 1, only when a townwide call is made on the community notification system. Cars that do park on the street during that time might be ticketed or towed.

To sign up for the community notification system, follow these steps:

1. From the Town’s website at www.danvers.govoffice.com.
2. Click on the "Connect CTY" icon on the right hand bottom section of our website.
3. Follow the prompts to "Modify Contact Information."

Residents can get alerted of a winter parking ban by a phone call, email, or text message.

When there is not a winter parking ban in effect, residents can park on the street freely. The town will also put out message boards notifying residents of parking bans.
