Doug Flutie Foundation Awards $10K Grant To Northeast Arc

DANVERS, MA — The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation For Autism awarded Northeast Arc a $10,000 grant to help support traditionally under-served, under-funded and culturally diverse communities through its Autism Support Center.

"We are thrilled to once again receive this critical funding from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, and are grateful for this continued support over the years," said Gloria Ricardi-Castillo, director of family support centers at Northeast Arc. "For more than 30 years, the Autism Support Center has served a diverse range of families with varied needs, in communities across Northeastern Massachusetts.

"This grant is important because it will give us much-needed flexibility to support these families in ways that are most impactful to them.”

The Framigham-based Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism awards grants annually through a competitive application and review process. The Autism Community Impact Grants that the Flutie Foundation distributed this year provide support in the Foundation's areas of interest — providing a path for educational and vocational skills, supporting recreational and active lifestyles, and ensuring people with autism are able to live safe, self-directed, and productive lives.
