Driver Tries To Run Over Danvers Police Officer
A driver refused to stop for police, and apparently attempted to hit a Danvers officer with the car.

DANVERS, MA – Around 11:15 a.m. on Monday, Danvers Police tried to stop a car when it took off and appeared to attempt to hit K9 Officer Justin Ellenton. Danvers Police Sgt. Olivia Silva said the dog was in the car during the incident.
The driver was stopped on Route 95 South just past the Route 128 split in Peabody, according to Silva. Police took a 25-year-old Lynn man into custody, but would not release the name of the suspect.
Silva said when Massachusetts State Police were called in, Ellenton radioed in to make sure they knew the suspect attempted to hit him. No injuries were reported after the incident.
