Essex Tech Plans Cafeteria Addition Amid School Expansion, Increased Enrollment
The school said the project will add 104 new seats, creating a more comfortable space "as the student body continues to grow."
DANVERS, MA — Essex Tech in Danvers is planning to create an addition to its cafeteria as part of an ongoing expansion of the school and student enrollment.
School officials said the cafeteria addition will include 104 new seats, "creating a more comfortable and efficient dining environment as the student body continues to grow."
"We're thrilled to announce that Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School is embarking on an exciting journey," Superintendent Heidi Riccio said.

The space will feature updated amenities, wood-grain Trespa siding, and a new patio.
The school said construction recently began with the original patio "carefully dismantled and preserved for reuse." Trees were relocated as part of the construction

Students from the Landscaping and Turf Management program will construct the new patio, reinforcing the school’s mission while keeping costs down.
The school said the project is being paid for through a combination of capital and cafeteria funds, with a completion projected for October.
"As Essex Tech continues to grow, this expansion highlights the school's commitment to
building a supportive environment where students can thrive, academically, technically, and personally," the school said.
