Flying Turkey Bashes Windshield On Route 95 In Danvers: State Police

State police said no one in the car was injured but that it did have to be towed from the highway.

DANVERS, MA — Beware of flying turkeys on the North Shore.

The windshield of a vehicle driving down Route 95 northbound in Danvers took quite a shot from a passing turkey Tuesday afternoon.

State police told Patch that at about 12:30 p.m., the vehicle was struck by a turkey flying across the highway at Centre Street.

A State police spokesperson told Patch there were no injuries to anyone inside the car, but that the windshield sustained extensive damage and that the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

State police did not say whether the turkey was found at the scene or provide an update on its condition if it was.
