High Winds Postpone Danvers FalconFest Winter Bonfire
Organizers said Friday afternoon that the Christmas Tree set for Plains Park will be held early Sunday evening instead of Saturday.
DANVERS, MA — The Danvers FalconFest Winter Bonfire was postponed one day on Friday because of expected snow and the potential for high winds on Saturday.
FalconFest organizers said early Friday afternoon that "safety is our top priority and we believe Sunday will have much better conditions."
After a week of brutal wind chills, and the chance of light snow on Saturday, Sunday is shaping up to be seasonably pleasant with a high of 39 degrees, clear skies and relatively light winds, according to the National Weather Service.
