Massachusetts Coronavirus Case Map: Updated Dail

Note: On Wednesday, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released town-by-town coronavirus case data for all Massachusetts communities.

DANVERS, MA — Massachusetts only releases data on case counts by county, but Patch has reviewed information from more than 225 municipalities in the state that are releasing local coronavirus data.

Health officials are quick to note that the actual number of cases is much larger and that a variety of factors — increased access to testing, density and the presence of nursing homes in any one town — led to the jumps over the past week.

Yellow pins mark towns that have updated coronavirus data in the past 24 hours.

Red pins mark towns that have updated coronavirus data in the past seven days.

Blue pins mark towns that have not updated coronavirus data in the past seven days. This layer is turned off but can be shown by clicking the checkbox in the map legend.

Darker-shaded pins signify higher rates of confirmed cases per 10,000 residents.

Towns not shown on the map have provided no updates on case counts.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health releases the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in each of the state's 14 counties daily while leaving it up to local health officials on whether to release confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths for their municipality.
