New Route 1 Restaurant Receives Former Miyako Steak House Liquor License
A new American pub-style restaurant on Route 1 was approved for an all-alcohol license at last night's Board of Selectmen meeting.

After a year of inactivity, the former was approved to be transferred to a new American pub-style restaurant on Route 1.
Attorney Paul Crochiere told selectmen the liquor license transfer would allow for Steven Tedesco, the owner of the business complex at 100 Newbury Street, to begin a new business venture.
The restaurant will seat 130 people, with an 18-stool bar. The restaurant, Crochiere said, is designed to be a family-style restaurant, featuring American- style pub food.

Crochiere told selectmen the building will undergo renovations, and said the restaurant will hopefully be opened in three to four months.
Tedesco will be joined by a co-manager Peter Mikedis, who has more than 30 years experience in the restaurant and food industry.

Mikedis read to selectmen a sample of the menu draft, including appetizers like calamari with banana peppers and firecracker shrimp skewers, and entrees such as cedar plank salmon, apricot glazed chicken, and a variety of kettle pastas.
Clark asked Mikedis if there would be any vegan or vegetarian options on the menu; Mikedis said yes.
, located at 23 Archmeadow Drive, closed in February 2011, due to estate tax issues. The license was inactive for more than a year.
