North Shore's Anonymous Brewing Closes Taproom For Good Thursday
Anonymous Brewing owners said the future of the beer and brand is "uncertain" but that the Rowley location was deemed "unsustainable."
ROWLEY, MA — A North Shore brewery planned to fire up the taps in its Rowley location for the final time on Thursday with the decision to close the Anonymous Brewing taproom on Main Street.
"The decision comes after several months of trying to find a way to make it work," owners posted in a message on the brewery's social media page. "But the reality of the situation is that the taproom space and our brewing capacity are falling short and have proven unsustainable."
Giving hope to fans of the brand is that "the future of Anonymous Brewing and some of our more popular beers is less certain."

Owners said that "once the dust has settled at 60 Main" they will review options and determine "if there is any path forward."
"We have a deep appreciation for our customers and are grateful for the support we have received from the community over the years," owners said.

The taproom had been set to stay open through Sunday but overwhelming visitation and demand since the closing announcement resulted in a beer shortage.
Anonymous was planned to be open on Thursday at 4 p.m. with a private comedy event set for 6:30 p.m. Owners said they will also have Mass Beer Week glasses available that night.
"Once the dust settles, we will be having a date when people can come if they are interested in any of our equipment, wares, and fixtures," owners said.
