Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, North Shore Community College (NSCC) will be able to expand its monthly Mobile Markets which provide free, fresh, seasonal produce to NSCC students, faculty, and staff.
The Open Door, which partners with NSCC to support their Mobile Markets and with stocking their Campus Cupboards, recently informed the college that an anonymous donor has assisted with funding the purchase of an additional mobile food truck (among other things), and has specifically asked to increase the Mobile Market opportunities for NSCC’s college community.
Prior to the anonymous donation, the Mobile Market was only scheduled every other month on both the Danvers and Lynn campuses from September-May. With the new funding for the additional truck, a Mobile Market will be available on each campus each month during the school year.
As an added bonus, for the months of March, April, and May 2025, two mobile markets per month will be held on both campuses.
