Peabody Coronavirus: Schools Plan Socially-Distanced Graduation
Some Peabody school committee members favor the socially-distanced graduation over holding the ceremony later in the year.

PEABODY, MA — Fearing an August graduation date would come after many members of the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School class of 2020 had already dispersed, school officials are considering holding a socially-distanced commencement ceremony on June 5.
According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, the school committee did not finalize a decision when it met Tuesday. Principal Chris Lord was scheduled to meet with the school's graduation committee Wednesday to discuss plans further.
