PHOTOS: Fire Department Dedicates New Engine to Fallen Brother

Danvers Fire Department's new Engine 2 was dedicated in memory of Matthew Smith.

dedicated the town's new fire apparatus to their fallen brother, Firefighter Matthew Smith. 

On Sunday, June 10, the department, alongside Smith's family, and friends joined at the High Street station to dedicate Engine 2. 

Smith, who resided in Stoneham, was 45-years-old when he passed away in March, following a two-year battle with melanoma. Due to his illness, Smith retired from the Danvers Fire Department in 2011.
