The Picklr In Danvers To Host Grand Opening At Liberty Tree Mall Location
Red Sox mascots Wally the Green Monster and Tessie will be there for the grand opening in the former Bed, Bath & Beyond spot.
DANVERS, MA — The transformation of a former home goods store next to the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers into a state-of-the-art playing facility for one of the nation's fastest-growing sports will be unveiled on Saturday with the grand opening of The Picklr.
The celebration is set for 10 a.m. with the public welcome to tour the facility, take part in open play, watch demonstrations and meet the local ownership.
Wally and Tessie from the Red Sox will arrive at about 11:30 a.m.

"We are thrilled to bring The Picklr to Danvers," owners Jeff and James Maguire told Patch. "Pickleball is more than just a sport — it's a movement that builds community, promotes health and wellness, and creates connections across all ages and skill levels."
The Picklr Danvers features 12 professional-style indoor courts for year-round play, customized Acrotek flooring and special events that will bring together local players with regional talent. The Picklr Danvers is designed to be accessible for players of all experience levels.

The Danvers location is one of several new franchises across New England.
The grand opening runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the former Bed, Bath & Beyond across from the Liberty Tree Mall at 189 Endicott Street.
