Prosecution Rests in Philip Chism Trial
Medical examiner was the last witness to testify for the prosecution.

After a long break for the Thanksgiving holiday, the murder trial of Philip Chism continued on Monday morning at Salem Superior Court. Chism is charged with raping and killing his high school math teacher, Andover native Colleen Ritzer.
Jurus heard more graphic testimony about Ritzer’s death, before e prosecution wrapped it’s case. The defense will begin their case on Tuesday, according to 7News/whdh.com.

Jurirs have seen surveillance video from the scene of the crime, Danvers High School, and other perinent locations, in the trial, including video that shows him following the woman moments before her slaying. Last week, the jury saw surveillance video of Chism allegedly rolling a recycle bin with Ritzer’s body inside.
The last witness for the prosecution, the medical examiner in the case, said today that it’s “impossible to know” whether Ritzer was still alive when authorities say Chism was still attacking her, according to the Boston Herald.

Jurors learned that they will be going on ‘a view’ this week to visit crime scene at Danvers High School.
