Roadwork Leads To Nightmarish North Shore Commute

DANVERS, MA — Drivers were reporting Monday morning that tree-trimming work on Route 62 in Danvers had closed on ramps to both sides of Route 128, leading to big backs ups that were extending to other communities on the North Shore. As of 10 a.m., the eastbound side of Route 62 was back to normal volume levels, but the westbound side was still backed nearly a mile from the Route 128 on ramps and beyond where Bridge Street meets Route 62.
