'Serious' Crash Detours Danvers Traffic Near Sylvan Street

Danvers police were asking travelers to avoid the area on Tuesday amid a State Police investigation.

DANVERS, MA — Travelers were asked to avoid the area of Sylvan Street and Ash Street in Danvers Thursday afternoon following what police called "a serious motor vehicle accident."

Danvers police said the Massachusetts State Police was investigating the crash around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

"Road closure signs have been set up in the area, and traffic is being redirected," police said. "Expect delays and use alternate routes if possible."

Emergency services reports on social media said the crash included a motorcycle and required a Med Life Flight called to the scene.
