Stepping Stones Preschool Appoints New Director
Early childhood educator Georgette DiChicco takes on "career objective high and a dream come true."

DANVERS, MA --Stepping Stones Preschool, the beloved north shore nonprofit and nondenominational preschool sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church, has appointed Georgette DiChicco as its new school director.
A veritable Mary Poppins -- with a warm smile, supportive demeanor and unquenchable enthusiasm for teaching little ones -- Georgette DiChicco brings her unique experience and early childhood education skillset to Stepping Stones, where she will work with faculty and staff to provide a safe, nurturing environment, helping children learn, explore and build socialization skills to prepare them for kindergarten.
DiChicco is a passionate early childhood educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience, 15 of them in early childhood programs. For nearly nine years, DiChicco has served Stepping Stones Preschool as Lead Teacher, working directly with the children, staff, and parents. Her familiarity with current and incoming students and their families, and her ability to maintain connections with former students and families are enormous assets as she undertakes her new role at the thriving preschool.
“Guiding children through preschool experiences designed to aid in their cognitive and social development is a real motivator for me,” DiChicco explains. “I’m grateful to have had exceptional teaching opportunities over the years and have always looked for ways to learn and grow and to take on more responsibility. To be in the position to serve as the Director of Stepping Stones is a career objective high and a dream come true for me,” says DiChicco.
The parent of three children who are Stepping Stones alumni, DiChicco knows the school like the back of her hand. “As a Stepping Stones parent and teacher, I have been fully committed and supportive of the success and growth of the school and the students in my care. I pride myself on providing instruction and experiences that serve the whole child and meeting the needs of Stepping Stones families.”
She is proud to continue the tradition at Stepping Stones as “a developmentally appropriate program and an inclusive learning center where everyone feels welcomed, accepted, and celebrated for who they are and how much they can accomplish,” she says.
