On December 22, 2021 the Danvers Board of Health voted to adopt measures to re-establish a town-wide, indoor mask regulation as a mitigating measure to combat an alarming increase in COVID cases over the last week. Already high, the number of cases has jumped dramatically over the past week and is expected to increase more following the holidays and as the results from the community testing events held this week come in. Based on this, the Board adopted an emergency requirement similar to those adopted by Salem, Beverly, Peabody, and other towns in the area this week.
