Administration Program Engineer
Under the direction of the Public Works Director and DPW Division Managers, develop, promote, and manage, complex Department of Public Works projects and programs. Supervise and assure accuracy in accounting data and reports. Work with management to develop programs meeting a variety of needs.
Position will be responsible for researching program options, developing proposals, managing teams and committees to initiate programs; designing projects and programs utilizing DPW employees, town employees, and outside consultants; presenting project and program options to DPW and town officials; developing, managing, and overseeing projects and programs; presenting project updates and analysis of program success; and management and update of department web page, policies, and educational materials.

Examples of programs and projects may include: automatic water and electric meter infrastructure; Water Use Mitigation Program; Water Management Act requirements; Phase II Storm Water Program; refuse and recycling programs; and transportation improvement program.

The Town of Danvers, a full service community of approximately 27,000 residents is seeking a Buildings Supervisor to oversee the care and maintenance of all municipal buildings, including schools. Reporting to the Director of Operations within the Department of Public Works, the buildings supervisor manages the maintenance and cleaning function for 20 municipal buildings.
The position is responsible for the supervision of 27 town employees and contractual services including cleaning, maintenance, and mechanical services. Danvers also has a very strong preventative maintenance program and it is expected that the individual will have a demonstrated knowledge of such programs in order to be able to carry this function forward. The position is also involved in the development and preparation of capital improvement plans for the town’s facilities. The responsibilities of this position also include overseeing all security functions for the various building and the requirement to respond to emergencies related to security, weather, and/or building conditions. The Buildings Supervisor has extensive interaction with other town departments, including schools and recreation. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, with experience in facilities management, including the building trades. The successful candidate should also have familiarity with building codes. It is expected that the successful candidate will have 5-7 years related experience, which must include supervisory responsibility. Strong computer skills are a required. Valid driver’s license required. Finalists will be subject to a security review and background investigation.

Full time position involved in the operation of vehicles and construction equipment.
