The Town of Danvers is accepting applications for several open positions:
- Council on Aging Receptionist -- Performs general, entry-level secretarial and clerical work. Answers phone calls, provides general information, direct calls to appropriate staff. Under the general supervision of the Director of Senior/Social Services, this position is responsible for greeting visitors and/or business people at the Danvers Council on Aging. - Congregate Meal Site Position -- This position is responsible for the serving and cleanup of the weekday congregate meal site at the Danvers Council on Aging. Responsibilities include tracking the number of meals ordered and served daily, attendance and participation, meal temperature recordings, managing inventory. Some experience with food service delivery preferred, sanitation training will be provided. Hours are Monday - Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pay is $10/hour. - DPW - Equipment Operator Forestry Division -- This is a skilled work in the operation of automotive equipment and/or moderately complex highway construction, Forestry and Grounds maintenance equipment, requiring a hydraulic license and in performing a wide variety of manual laboring work. - DPW - Administration Program Engineer -- Under the direction of the Public Works Director and DPW Division Managers, develop, promote, and manage, complex Department of Public Works projects and programs. Under the direction of the Supportive Adult Day Health Program Coordinator the Activity Leader will assist with carrying out activities of the day program. - Planning and Human Services - Administrative Assistant / Senior Secretary -- Under the general direction of the Director of Planning and Human Services, performs a variety of administrative, operational, and secretarial functions in direct support of the staff, services, programs, and activities of the Department of Planning of Human Services, including the Planning, Health, Veterans’ Affairs, Recreation, and Senior and Social Services divisions. - DPW/Water Division Equipment Operator -- Full-time position involved in the operation of vehicles and construction equipment. Requires CDL and Hydraulic Licenses, with a requirement that a Grade II Water Distribution License be obtained within a year of hiring. At least two years of related experience required. Rate: $19.75- $22.53/hr. depending upon experience.
