UPDATE: Water Main Damage Closes Danvers Roadway, Route 128 On Ramp
Part of Liberty Street, as well as the Route 128 on ramp from 62E to 128N, will remain until tomorrow at noon closed due to the damage.
State and , as well as the Mass. Department of Transportation (DOT) are on scene at a water main break at Liberty Street and Orchard Lane, where the damage has shut down the road.
The Ramp at Route 62 East to 128 North will be closed until approximately noon on Friday, March 2 while roads are inspected for water damage.
The 30-inch line that feeds Salem is owned by the Beverly Salem Water Board. When the main broke earlier this morning, it sent gallons of water and debris down the hill toward the Route 62 intersection at Elliott Street.

Beverly Department of Public Works director Michael Collins was on scene when the main was shut off at about 11:30 a.m. State Police said it would take approximately 45 minutes for the water to shut off.
The road, as well as the Route 128 on ramp from 62E to 128N, will remain closed until the damage is assessed and fixed.
