Police in Brookline arrested a 71-year-old Dedham man wanted for stalking and assault and battery following a parking violation on Monday.An officer was assisting employees at a loading zone on Beacon Street when he noticed a vehicle parked in violation of tow zone parameters. Using the InterAct mobile program, the officer queried the vehicle's plate to obtain the name of the registered owner. The query revealed the owner, Steven Davis, had an active straight warrant out for his arrest. While confirming the arrest warrant, the officer witnesses a white male enter the vehicle in question. The officer confirmed the suspect's image provided by the RMV and approached the male operator. Davis was placed in handcuffs and arrested for a stalking charge and an assault and battery charge out of Brookline District Court.
