Farmers Market Returns To Dedham
The farmers market, which began on June 15, is located on the green in front of First Church in Dedham at 670 High St. in Dedham Square

DEDHAM, MA - The Dedham Farmers Market returned to Dedham Square Wednesday for its 14th season, ushering in a summer tradition.
The market is located on the green in front of First Church in Dedham at 670 High St. at the intersection of High and Court Streets. Four Massachusetts farms are providing a wide variety of fresh local produce and items on Wednesdays from 1-5 p.m., rain or shine, and runs through October 26.
"The Dedham Farmers Market was founded in 2008 by Dedham residents Louise Reohr and Adina Astor, who approached Dedham Square Circle with an interest in organizing a local market," said Kerry Hawkins, a Dedham Square Circle board member.

"As a farmers market had long been on the DSC's list of '101 Great Ideas to Improve the Square,' we were thrilled to have these two amazing women step up to the plate and take on this project," she continued. "After months of researching local farms, recruiting vendors and creating a business plan, this dynamic duo set an opening date of July 2008 for the inaugural market."
Hawkins added that Dedham Square Circle is a nonprofit group and business leaders and residents that has worked toward reinvigorating the Dedham Square business district while maintaining its historic character. It works to promote community, cultural and arts events that will simultaneously attract residents and visitors to shop and dine in the square.
