High School, ECEC Principals Chosen
Superintendent Michael Welch recently announced who has been picked to lead Dedham High School and the Early Childhood Education Center

DEDHAM, MA — Decisions have been made regarding who will head the schools with Dedham oldest students and the one which houses the youngest.
Superintendent Michael Welch recently announced that Interim Dedham High School Principal Jim Forrest has been appointed to the permanent position and Kimberly Taylor, principal of King Elementary School in Framingham, has been named the new principal of the Dedham Early Childhood Education Center.
Welch cited Forrest's ability to develop trusting relationships and connect with students and staff, along as his strong institutional knowledge as some of the reasons for the appointment.

Taylor was one of five finalists for the ECEC position. Welch said she quickly rose to the top of the field and brings 14 years of experience as a principal/administrator in three different school districts. She will join the Dedham Public Schools July 1.
