Hospital Harpist Goes The Extra Mile To Bring Joy: Dedham Hero

DEDHAM, MA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Mae Brennan who nominated Nancy Kleiman. Kleiman was the harpist at Brigham and Women's Hospital but took her talents virtual when one visitor couldn't make it into the hospital during the pandemic.

Relationship to nominee: Harpist at hospital where my 90 dad gave out stickers for 25 years (before covid)
Reason for recognition: She is a harpist at BWH where my 90-year-old dad Has giving out stickers for the last 25 years and when COVID-19 hit, and he was told he couldn’t go there any more he was devastated, so she has called him every day at 5 o’clock since Covid hit to keep him happy.
One thing to know: She is a wonderful selfless caring angel and has kept him happy
since covid began.
