Suspect In Wellesley Gun Case Arrested In Dedham
Police say Matthew Bradley's GPS bracelet showed that he was near where the gun was located.

WELLESLEY, MA — A Boston man was arrested by Wellesley Police Wednesday in connection to the gun and ammunition that were found on a path near Hunnewell Field on Sept. 5.
Matthew Bradley, 27, of Boston, was arrested in Dedham around 9 a.m. and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and improper storage of a firearm.
Just past midnight on Sept. 4, Bradley was pulled over while driving on Washington Street near the Wellesley Police Station. Police say Bradley fled after being identified and police were unable to find him.

Police learned during an investigation that Bradley was wearing a court-ordered GPS bracelet as a condition of bail for another case. The next day, a semi-automatic firearm was found on Hunnewell Field near the Crosstown Trail. The GPS bracelet that Bradley was wearing indicated that he traveled through the same area where the firearm was found after fleeing the traffic stop.
Bradley was arrested on a warrant for the original motor vehicle charges on Sept. 6. Evidence gathered during that arrest led to a search warrant being obtained by detectives. As a result of this search warrant, additional evidence was located that linked Bradley to the firearm found in Hunnewell Field, police said.
