“Our team has worked diligently to make this process as smooth and efficient as possible and are happy to announce the Town census forms will be mailed out beginning this week,” said Munchbach. “We expect forms to begin to reach mailboxes within the next week or two.”
Back in February, Munchbach announced he had made the decision to delay mailing out the forms, normally in mailboxes in January, to prevent unnecessary confusion as a result of reprecincting happening across the state. The change in mailing date is due to the updated boundary changes to Dedham voting precincts determined by the State.

When residents receive the Town census forms in the mail, included will be the following:
- Annual census form (complete and return to the Town Clerk’s Office ASAP)
- Information about your voting precinct and polling location
- Dog license form (for new licenses and renewals)
For those residents changing to a different polling location, the Town Clerk’s Office will mail out a separate reminder card one to two weeks prior to Town elections (Saturday, April 9, 2022) that identifies your updated voting precinct and polling location.
Please note: The seven polling locations have not changed. Some residents may be relocated to a different polling location as a result of the statewide reprecincting.
