1. Over 5,000 cyclists took part in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge over the weekend to raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Make sure to take a look at some of the participants as they rode through Dover in our .
2. Next weekend is a tax free holiday in Massachusetts. There will be no tax on most items under $2,500. Have you been thinking about buying any big-ticket items?
3. Dover is expecting to begin their summer paving program next week. Start thinking of alternate routes for your commute, as the following streets will be resurfaced and there may be delays in traffic:
Old Colony Drive
Southfield Drive
Phillips Lane
Main St (from Pleasant St to Springdale Ave.)
Shady Lane (tentative)
Old Meadow Road (tentative)
Police Station
Library (tentative)
Dedham Street (in the area of Caryl Park)
4. There's still time to register your child for k-3 soccer with the Dover Sherborn Soccer Club. All you need to do is go to their website. The season begins September 8th.
