D-S Boys And Girls Track Wins Over Bellingham

Dover-Sherborn claimed their third victory of the season at Bellingham on Thursday.

On the boys' side, senior captain Will Bain won the 100m (11.1), 200m (23.4), and long jump (18'6.5") to lead the Raiders past Bellingham 76-59.

Senior Steve O'Connor won the high jump (5'), triple jump (36'5"), and ran in the winning 4x400 team (3:57) alongside juniors Stephen Mayfield and Toby Howe  and freshman Sam Ford.

Senior Mark Moruzzi won the 400H (63.3) and 110H (18.2). Also finishing in the top spot were juniors Teddy Mosher and Chris Chisholm who won the 2 mile (11:41.1) and javelin (139'9"), respectively.

Freshman Dan Carroll picked up two second place finishes in the shot put (36'6") and discus (104'9").

On the girls' side, senior captain Sarah Warden led the way past Bellingham (72-63) with a win in the 200m (27.5) and second place finish in the high jump (4'6").

Sophomore Rachel Cunningham won the 400H in a personal best of 80.4 and placed third in the 100H (21.3).

Senior Lizzy Briskin won the 800m in (2:34.7) while junior Michaela Ward won the 100H (18.9).

Other wins included sophomore Chandler Wood inn the 400m (65.8); junior Nina Copponi in the 2 mile (14:18.5); sophomore Olivia Cannon in the 1 mile (5:51.1); and the 4x100m team comprised on freshmen Ashley DeLuca, Katrina Brace, Greer Campbell and sophomore Kali Sherburne (57.9). Brace also placed third in the 100m (14.2).

Dover-Sherborn will head to Westwood for the Freshman/Sophomore Meet and for the Weston Twilight Meet this Saturday. The next league meet will take place at home against Medway on Monday, May 9th at 3:30 p.m.
