Dover Police Log: False Alarms, a Lost Dog and a Lost Child
The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, August 4
Lost Child- At a little after 11 a.m. the Needham police contacted the Dover PD to inform them that a child was lost not far from the Dover line. Dover officers assisted in looking for the child and notifying area businesses to be on the lookout. The child was found.
Wednesday, August 1
Lost Dog Found- A Knollwood Drive resident reported a small golden retriever in her backyard. The resident stated that she had tried to capture the dog, but it kept running away from her. Animal Control was notified and the dog was returned to its owner.
Sunday, July 29
Wires Down, Burglar Alarms Act Up- A transformer explosion on Dedham Street at 5:40 p.m. led to multiple calls about wires hanging down in the road. Officers responded in order to divert traffic. Then, at about 6 O'clock, burglar alarms began going haywire due to power loss. Homes on Dedham Street, Miller Hill Road and Centre Street all had their alarms go off, while a bank's vault alarm went off as well. Officer responded to each location to make sure it was simply a false alarm.
