Pet of the Week: Jazz

Jazz is available for adoption through the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Editor's Note: The following was provided by the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Meet Jazz

Jazz is also affectionately known as Spazz by his owner because he was so wild and silly when she adopted him from the Medfield Animal Shelter 7 years ago.

He's a Border Collie/Lab mix and all he wanted to do when he was younger was run and play and jump and herd.

Now at 9 years young he still does all of this but in a more dignified manner due to all the love he has been showered with by his owner, Pam. Sadly, they must now part ways and it is breaking two hearts. Pam must move to senior housing that does not allow pets and her only wish is that Jazz have a chance at love one more time.

In the 7 years they have been together their bond is strong, but Jazz also has had room in his heart to happily live with two cats, children of all ages, grown children and anyone else he meets. He is in great shape and loves to be active going for leash walks and playing in his yard with toys.  He's also happy to calmly ride in the car or hang out in the house. He is up-to-date on his vaccines and is on heartworm preventative. He must be kept on a leash during walks, or the Border Collie in him will send him off in search of an adventure.

If you are  interested in meeting Jazz, please call the Shelter at 508-358-8989 or send an email to info@medfieldshelter.com, and Pam will be happy to bring him to the shelter for a meeting. We are hoping to place Jazz directly from his current home before Pam moves next month.
