Sherborn Police Issue Warning About Paving Scams

It is recommended that you obtain a written estimate of the work to be done and any agreed upon price before any work is completed.

The Sherborn Police would like to make everyone aware of the recent increase in paving scams in the area. Please be aware of any paving solicitor coming to your door offering paving, sealcoating, or driveway repairs.

The solicitors usually claim to have leftover asphalt from a recent/nearby job. They typically advise you that rather than just waste the material, they will give you a substantial deal by fixing or paving your driveway using the extra material.

They usually ask for payment in advance and typically do not complete the agreed upon work. When it comes time for payment, they also usually increase the initially agreed upon amount for the work.
