Sherborn Police Wrap Up Click It Or Ticket Campaign
Sherborn received $900 from the state for their participation in the Click it or Ticket campaign and during the 10-day period, which ended on Sunday, they issued 12 seatbelt violations out of the 84 citations that were given.
The Sherborn Police Department wrapped up their 10-day campaign, Sunday, cracking down on drivers who were riding without wearing their seatbelts as part of the state-wide Click it or Ticket initiative.
Sherborn PD received $900 from the state for their participation and during the 10-day period they issued 12 seatbelt violations out of the 84 citations that were given.
Those who were caught not buckling up were given a $25 fine.

“Overall usage is improving,” said Sherborn Police Sergeant David Bento.
Bento said that most of the seatbelt violations were handed out during stops for speeding, stop sign violations, red light violations, and passing violations.

"We try and educate the people that aren’t wearing the seatbelts," Bento said. "We try and let the people know what we're doing and why we're doing it."
Overall Bento said that the program was a success and that state-wide seatbelt violations have steadily declined since the Click it or Ticket program began.
