Sherborn elections, high deer population, and high school high jump record in track.
Tuesday was in Sherborn. Paul DeRensis won a defeating challenger Peter Liffiton. The town voted to approve funds for the D-S High School's wastewater treatment plant replacement but voted down funding for the Pine Hill Access Road. for the rest of the results.
There was an in Sherborn to discuss the high population of deer and ticks in the area presented by Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife deer biologist Sonja Christensen. Christensen said that eastern Massachusetts has the highest population of deer in the state and that the deer are often covered in ticks.
D-S senior captain Steve O'Connor on Thursday with a jump of 6'4". The record was previously held by Tim Bey ('81) and Chris Pavlic ('89) at 6'2".
