Body Found in Charles River on Monday Identified

Fox News is reporting the man found dead in the Charles River on Monday morning was a Cambridge man who was intoxicated and fell into the river.

Authorities have identified one of the two bodies found in the Charles River this week.

The body of 69-year-old Pedro Colon was recovered from the Charles River on Monday morning. Colon is a Cambridge man who was intoxicated and fell into the Charles River and died, Fox News reported. 

There has not yet been an identification made for the second body found in the Charles River this week.

"Identification efforts are still ongoing and no positive ID has yet been made," said a spokesperson for the DA's office. 

Several news outlets have reported that the body found on Tuesday had chains and cement blocks attached to it. But the District Attorney's Office has not announced a murder investigation.

 "It is far too early to make a determination as to manner of death, and reports indicating that the individual was the victim of a homicide are premature," said the spokesperson.
