Marshalls, a giant discount clothing store, is opening a location in the Fenway neighborhood in the coming weeks. The newest Boston location will open at 126 Brookline Avenue on Oct. 18. "We are very excited to open our third store in Boston and to play a part in the growth and redevelopment of the Fenway community," said Richard Sherr, President of Marshalls in a statement. "The Fenway store will be stocked with a new, fresh assortment of the designer and brand name merchandise that shoppers love, every single week." The store is hosting a grand opening party from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on opening day, complete with prizes, family activities and more. The 30,030 square-foot off-price store will add almost 60 full and part time jobs in the area. The store will also include the Marshalls boutique of more trendy fashions, "The Cube." Marshalls will contribute to the local community by presenting two $2,500 donations to two local charities: The Jimmy Fund Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Mission Hill Community School at the opening day ribbon-cutting ceremony.
