NO Third Body Found in the Charles River on Thursday

State Police issued a correction after sending out a news advisory indicating a third body had been found in the Charles River.

At first, it seemed like the unbelievable was happening. A news release was issued by the Massachusetts State Police indicating that a third body had been found in the Charles River on Thursday morning.

However, about half an hour later, state police issued another statement, that the initial news release was an old one that was somehow re-sent to all Boston media news outlets.

"At this time the Massachusetts State Police has experienced an internal issue with its email system," the statement reads. "An older email, possibly stored in the system for delivery, was sent out as a new advisory. There was no new body found in the Charles River. We apologize as this appeared as a new advisory."

There was no third body found in the Charles River on Thursday morning. There were, however, two bodies found earlier this week.

The first was found on Monday, identified as 61-year-old Pedro Colon. The second body found was identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Dailey, a graduate student in Boston who had been missing for the last week.

Authorities are still investigating Dailey's death. It was reported by several news outlets that his body was found chained to a cement block. However, there has been no additional information released yet by investigators.
