Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, March 5: Investigation into Death of BU Student Continues

Here's what's happening in the neighborhood today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of rain or snow today, but there could be some snow later this week.

2. Cheap Eats: Every Tuesday, Thornton's Fenway Grille charges $5 per burger.

3. BU Student Death Still Under Investigation: Boston Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office are continuing an investigation into the sudden death of a Boston University freshman on Saturday morning. See here for more information.

4. Cooking for Hope: Sip award-winning wine and sample signature dishes from more than 50 of Boston’s most popular chefs and some of New England’s favorite wineries at the 15th annual "Chefs Cooking for Hope." Hosted by the Friends of Dana-Farber, this culinary extravaganza takes place Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at 125 High Street, Boston. Frank McClelland, of L’Espalier, Sel de la Terre, and Au Soleil Catering will serve as honorary chef. Admission is $100 per person. 5. Esplanade internships: The Esplanade Assoiation is looking for interns for several positions. Internships are unpaid, but a weekly travel stipend is granted. Start and end dates are flexible, as are weekly schedules, but some positions require the intern to be at the park for certain programs and events. See here for more information.
