10 Framingham WordMasters Recognized

WordMasters is a national competition, and Framingham students are among the 225,000 students who compete.

The Framingham School Committee recognized 10 WordMasters earlier this month.

The SAGE department offers the WordMasters competition to all students in the public school district in grades 3-8.

WordMasters is a national competition, in which more than 225,000 students participate in three separate meets held during the school year.

Students master 75 interesting and rigorous vocabulary words, which are used to complete analogies expressing various kinds of logical relationships. Working to solve the analogies helps student learn to think both analytically and metaphorically.

The School Committee recognized students on each team, who earned the highest overall averages over the course of three meets during the 2014-2015 school year.

Grade 4 - Highest Overall Average

Grade 5 Highest Overall Average

Team Middle School - Highest Overall Average
