3 Individuals Wanted For Skateboard Park Advisory Committee
Deadline to submit is today, June 1.

The Town Manager and Framingham Parks Commission are seeking applicants for three at-large memberships on a soon to be formed Skateboard Park Advisory Committee being formed to offer advice and guidance in the design and location of a new skateboard park in Framingham.
It is the Town’s hope that a location, a design, and a budget to construct such a new recreational asset can be developed and presented to the Annual Town Meeting in May 2016.
For the at-large seats we are seeking motivated, knowledgeable and committed individuals in three different categories:

- One of the sponsors or proponents of the Skateboard Park that led to the funding the design
of the park earlier this month - A young person capable of representing the interests and points of view of the eventual users of the new skateboard park
- A parent of potential users who will use the park or other adult with familiarity with the recreational needs of children and young people. Familiarity with the needs of children on the south side of Framingham is a plus.
If you are interested in being considered for one of these At-large seats please submit a letter of interest to either the Town Manager or the Parks Commission prior to the close of business today, June 1 at either of their respective offices.
The At-large members will serve with members comprised of a member of the Board of Selectmen, 2 members of the Parks Commission, the Town Manager or designee, the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Conservation Administrator, and a representative the Town’s Finance Committee and Capital Budget Committee.
