5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: April 21

Trash collection is on a delayed schedule this week. Open craft at the main library and mosquito spraying scheduled for Framingham.

1. Due to the Patriots’ Day holiday, there was no curbside trash collection on Monday. That means, the Framingham DPW crews will be on a one-day delay schedule for the rest of the week for collection.

2. The main Framingham Library will host a vacation week open craft today from 1 to 3 p.m.

3. Weather permitting Marian High School’s track team was to host Matignon at 10 a.m. at Bowditch Field in Framingham.

4. If you plan to do a little spring cleaning today due to the rain, or during the week due to school vacation week, keep in mind Saturday is the 5th Annual Framingham Earth Day Festival. The festival will hold several recycling booths on Saturday. Click here for more details.

5. Weather permitting, East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be conducting a helicopter application of the biological larvicide, Bti, to control mosquito larvae over wetland areas located in Framingham, starting as early as tomorrow, April 22.
